- Once the number moves to CloudLine, the old SIM stops working for calls and texts.
- Calls and texts then reach you through the CloudLine app and phone system instead.

Do I need a new phone or SIM?
No. The number works through the CloudLine app on the phone and computer you already have, and through your desk phones. There’s no SIM card.
Can I move my existing mobile number?
Yes. Moving a mobile number costs $27.50 once off, then the normal monthly fee. Once it moves, the old SIM stops working, so check your current plan for any contract or handset payout first. See number porting.
Can my team share one mobile number?
Yes. Calls can ring a group or a queue, and incoming texts can be copied to a shared email address so the whole team sees them.
Can I make outgoing calls from the mobile number?
Yes, from the CloudLine app or your desk phones, with the mobile number showing as your caller ID. Outgoing calls are charged at your plan’s call rates.
Can I send bulk or marketing texts?
Mobile numbers are for everyday two-way texts with customers. Marketing texts must follow the Spam Act: get consent, say who you are and include a way to opt out. See Business SMS.
